What are the best practices to avoid the need for repairing your generator?

Change the Generator engine oil – Generator engines are just like car engines.  The oil should be changed on a regular basis to ensure the longevity of your engine.  Without a properly functioning engine, the generator will be work more than its scrap value.

Test run the Generator – It is important to exercise the generator once a month to make sure that it will perform when you need it to perform.

Use fuel stabilizer in your Generator gas tank – If the generator will need to sit for several months, it is a good practice to utilize a fuel stabilizer to prevent the degradation of the gas in the gas tank.

Generator Storage – As many of the generator parts are metal and able to rust, it is important to store your generator in a protected manner.
